Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These terms apply to Naola on iPhone, on Android and on the web at naola.net/app, and to the services behind it ("Naola", "the app", "the service"). By using Naola you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
Naola is a weather app. It queries several third-party weather providers, shows each provider's forecast side by side, and calculates a statistical consensus from them. Naola is available on the Apple App Store, on Google Play, and as a web app at naola.net/app. It is provided for general information.
2. Using Naola
You may use Naola for your own personal, non-commercial weather information. You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app;
- use automated tools to scrape the service, query it in bulk or send it excessive requests;
- get around rate limits, access controls or the subscription;
- redistribute the app or its data for commercial purposes.
The last point does not restrict data that its provider publishes under an open licence: Open-Meteo data is licensed under CC BY 4.0 and OpenWeather data under the Open Database License (ODbL), and you may use that data as those licences allow (section 4).
3. Weather data accuracy
Weather forecasts are uncertain by nature. Naola combines data from several providers, but all weather data is provided "as is", without any warranty of accuracy, completeness or reliability. The consensus is a statistical tool, not a guarantee.
Weather information in Naola is provided for general informational purposes only. Forecasts and conditions are probabilistic and may not be accurate for your specific location or time.
Do not rely on Naola for safety-critical decisions. Weather data in Naola should not be used as the sole basis for decisions involving personal safety, aviation, marine navigation, emergency planning or other safety-critical activities. Always consult official meteorological services and the relevant authorities where accuracy is critical, and follow official warnings during severe weather or an evacuation. Weather alerts shown in Naola are passed on from the issuing agencies through our providers, and may be delayed or incomplete.
YOUR USE OF THIS REAL TIME WEATHER GUIDANCE APPLICATION OR WEBSITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. WEATHER DATA MAY NOT BE ACCURATE.
4. Third-party services and links
Naola's weather data comes from third-party providers: Open-Meteo, OpenWeather and Apple Weather for everyone, plus WeatherAPI.com, Visual Crossing and Google with Naola Advanced. Each provider has its own terms and data licences. The full attribution, licences and citations are on the weather sources page.
- Open-Meteo data is licensed under CC BY 4.0, and OpenWeather data under the Open Database License (ODbL). Naola changes both: values are normalized and combined with other sources.
- Air-quality values contain modified Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service information.
- Apple Weather is a trademark of Apple Inc.
- Google Maps. Naola includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in are provided by those companies under their own terms.
Some ads may contain affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon. If you follow one, you leave Naola, and the retailer's own terms, privacy policy and cookie practices apply. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.
5. Accounts
You can use Naola without signing up. So that purchases work without an account, the mobile app creates an anonymous device identity the first time it runs, without asking you for any personal details (see the Privacy Policy).
Creating an account with an email address, Sign in with Apple or Google is optional. Its main use is moving a Naola Advanced subscription between Android and iPhone. If you create one, keep your sign-in details secure.
5.1 Age
Naola is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If the law where you live sets a higher age for consenting to the processing of personal data (for example, 14 in Spain or 16 in some EU countries), you must meet that age to create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us at the address in section 15 and we will delete it.
5.2 Sessions
An account can be signed in on one phone and one web browser at the same time. The two are independent: you can use one phone and one browser together, but not two phones or two browsers. Signing in on a second phone signs the first phone out after a short grace period, and the same applies to browsers. Activating Naola on the web with a code uses the web session only and does not sign out your phone.
6. Naola Advanced subscription
6.1 What you get
Naola Advanced is an optional subscription that renews automatically every month. It adds:
- three more weather providers, WeatherAPI.com, Visual Crossing and Google, for six in all (everyone gets Open-Meteo, OpenWeather and Apple Weather);
- each provider's own 7-day forecast, next to the consensus forecast everyone gets (Apple Weather's is free for everyone);
- detailed current conditions: humidity, pressure, wind, UV index, dew point, visibility, chance of precipitation and wind gusts (Apple Weather's own card shows them to everyone);
- air quality;
- no daily limit on weather requests in normal use (a fair-use ceiling of 1,000 requests per account per day protects the service from runaway clients);
- no in-app ad.
The paywall shows the current list before you buy. Features may change over time, but we will not remove a feature you have already paid for during a paid period.
6.2 Price and billing
- Price: €2.99 per month in the euro zone, VAT included, or the local price your store shows elsewhere. The price the store shows at purchase is the price you pay.
- Introductory offer: new subscribers may get their first month for €0.99, or the local equivalent, where the store offers it.
- Billing: Naola Advanced is sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on where you bought it. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically every month at the standard price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Advanced until the end of the period you have paid for.
6.3 Managing and cancelling
Only the store you bought from can change or cancel the subscription. We cannot do it for you.
- iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Naola, or Settings → Manage subscription in the app.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Naola, or Settings → Manage subscription in the app.
6.4 Naola Advanced on the web
The web version does not sell subscriptions. If you subscribe on iPhone or Android, you can use Advanced on the web too: in the app, open Settings → Account → "Activate Naola on the web" to get a code, then enter it on the web. Each code works once and expires after 10 minutes.
6.5 Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription
Deleting your Naola account removes your data from our servers. It does not cancel a subscription with Apple or Google. To stop being charged, cancel in the store first (section 6.3). Otherwise the store keeps renewing it.
6.6 Price changes
We may change the price of Naola Advanced for future renewals. Apple and Google tell you in advance and, where their rules require it, ask you to accept the new price before it applies. If the store asks for your consent and you do not give it, the subscription ends at the end of the current period.
6.7 Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policy. We cannot issue refunds directly.
- App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: Google Play refund policy
7. Apps from the App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded Naola from Apple's App Store, your licence to use the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms also apply to your use of Naola and its services. Where they conflict with the Standard EULA for the iOS app, the Standard EULA prevails. Purchases made through Google Play are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.
8. Feedback
You can send us feedback from the app. We may use it to improve Naola. By sending feedback, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use it for that purpose. Please do not include personal information you do not want us to have.
9. Intellectual property
The Naola name, logo, design and code belong to us. Weather data belongs to its providers and is used under their licences. You may not use our branding without written permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of Naola, including damage caused by relying on weather data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Naola is limited to the amount you paid for Naola Advanced in the 12 months before the claim, or zero if you use the free tier.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Availability
We aim to keep Naola available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, outages at our weather providers, rate limits, or other circumstances outside our control.
12. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or abuses the service, for example with excessive automated requests. You can stop using Naola at any time, and delete your account in the app under Settings → Account, or at naola.net/delete-account.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version is published on this page with a new date. Continuing to use Naola after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes will be settled by the courts of Spain, unless the consumer protection laws of the country where you live give you the right to go to your local courts or to rely on your local law.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: support@naola.app. For your data rights (access, export, deletion), see the Privacy Policy or use Settings → Account in the app.
